Week 4

This week we presented our layouts to Joyce the publisher. We put our work up on the pull down screen and we all took turns explaining our projects and our ideas. I was the first person to go and that probably didn't work out that well for me because of the excitement of the whole presentation. I felt that Joyce became more comfortable as the presentations went on and it seems that she was giving more critical feedback. She essentially said that she liked mine with a couple of changes that she wanted me to make. They were mostly technical, like using different pictures. One specific comment she made was that she thought that the pictures that I used were making a color scheme. This, however, is something that is easily changed and will be be mostly determined by the photo shoot.

John,

How has design criteria for this layout project changed since the class started? What do you think about the client's suggestions?
Have you determined a way to incorporate the client's desire for a refined layout with your job of being creative?

What is Juliens take on all of this so far?
